This Just In: Big Story
Journalism students are really taking an ass-pounding these days, huh? That and now this. My favorite line: "that a journalism grad even stands accused of it is a big story." I reached Gawker's managing editor Lockhart Steele for comment and he said, "I stand behind Gawker's reporting of this story 100%." Ballsy...to the point of foolhardy. (Man, I've been waiting awhile to bust that one out.)

Comments:
Look, the 100,000 parts per million of this smelly fart you’re stuck on these days is simple: blogs are not reporting; how’d Buzzard Machine miss that, I don’t know. Blogs suckle at the decaying teat of big media, and if not for the BM what would be their point? They exist, much like that animal rights lady at Astor Place, to scream bloody murder about something they really have no control over.
Aside from a few sites that post the occasional original content (shout out to The Other Page Dot Com; yup, yup!), most blogs are Gothamist with a POV; which is to say, re-tread garbage. The only reason I read all this detritus is so I don’t have to get my hands dirty with newsprint.
The mini pundits should put some pants on and stop pretending that yammering to each other (AKA preaching to the converted) in your underwear while ALT + TABing between your comments section and eatmybeaver.com is an effective way to fight the system.
And if anyone can tell me what in the hell “In the krucoffian paradigm, "Gage" is responsible for all the world's indignities. We are all Gage” means, I’ll scoot on over and click on one of your Google ads for ya.
